Julia Popkiewicz


Course Originator and Academic Supervisor.  A casting director, screenwriter, and director. She is a member of the Polish Filmmakers Association (SFP) and the Polish Ethnological Society (PTL). She authored the book Casting. First Meeting: Actor – Director. In addition to graduating in Directing from the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia in Katowice, she holds a degree in Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology and completed Doctoral Studies in Cultural Sciences at the University of Wrocław. Her casting credits include titles such as Mothers of Penguins, Absolute Beginners, Sonata, Śubuk , and Suicide Room.


Ewa Brodzka


Course Originator and Academic Supervisor. A casting director and second director. She is a founding member and President of the Polish Casting Directors Guild (PCDG) and a member of the International Casting Directors Network (ICDN). A graduate of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia. She was honored with the Weronika Migoń Award for her casting work on Piotr Domalewski's Silent Night. She has managed casting for dozens of feature films and series, collaborating with both Polish and international masters, including Steven Spielberg (Schindler’s List), Roman Polański (The Pianist), and Andrzej Wajda (Pan Tadeusz, Katyń).



Wojciech Marczewski


One of the most outstanding Polish directors and screenwriters, as well as a professor of film arts and a charismatic educator, born on February 28, 1944, in Łódź. As a graduate of the Łódź Film School and a co-founder of the TOR Film Studio, he has exerted a profound influence on the shape of national cinema—both through his original works and his institutional activities. He is a laureate of the prestigious Silver Bear at the Berlinale for the film Shivers (1981) and the winner of the Golden Lions in Gdynia for the cult classic Escape from the Liberty Cinema (1990).

Katarzyna Gryciuk-Krzywda


Casting Director and Photographer. A member of the Polish Casting Directors Guild (PCDG). She has extensive experience working with both adults and children. She has worked on numerous Polish feature films and television series.She received an individual award for her casting work on the hit series "1670" and the feature film "There Are No Ghosts in the Apartment for Good". In 2025, she was nominated for the "Pulsar" Award by the Polish Actors Union in the Supporting Casting Director category.


Nadia Lebik


Casting director with almost two decades of experience in European film industry Her filmography includes more than 15 TV shows and over 20 feature films, both Polish and international. She worked with directors like Piotr Trzaskalski, Leszek Dawid, Bartosz Konopka (Academy Award Nominee) or Jan Komasa (Academy Award Nominee). She is currently working multiple projects, including Polish version of BBC’s cult series „The Office”. Since 2015, she has been teaching Casting Methods at Stanisław Wyspiański Acting Academy in Kraków.


Kamil Przełęcki


Production Manager and Film Producer. An economic expert for the Polish Film Institute (PISF) and co-author of the PISF feature film budget template. He serves as the Program Director of the Audiovisual Producers Study in Gdynia and is a lecturer at various film schools. A pioneer in the Polish new media and VoD (Video on Demand) market, his credits include major productions such as "Katyń", "The Revenge" (Zemsta), and "Plan B".


dr David Zitzlsperger


CEO of Denkungsart GmbH. Head of a German company specializing in digital solutions for the media industry. With an academic background in econometrics and market research, combined with experience in consulting and entrepreneurship, he bridges analytical expertise with strategic leadership. He leads Filmmakers Europe (www.filmmakers.eu), the leading casting system in the European Union, connecting actors, agents, and casting directors across all 27 member states. He ensures visibility for European talent while providing casting directors and producers with efficient management tools and direct access to verified professionals.


Izabela Gałan


HR Expert and Talent Development Consultant. A graduate of Psychology from the University of Wrocław. She is an expert in HR, talent development, soft skills training, and coaching. For 16 years, she worked in the HR department of Coca-Cola HBC, overseeing training programs and talent growth. Since 2018, she has provided consulting and training for businesses and actors. Her workshops and coaching sessions focus on the psychological aspects of acting, relationship building, and navigating the casting process. She co-created the course "Personal Branding in the Art of Acting" under the Film Spring Open Foundation.


Ewa Bakalarska


She has been working in film production for nearly 20 years. She leverages her acting background in her work as a casting director, which perhaps makes it easier for her to discover rising talents like Filip Garbacz or recognize new dimensions in acclaimed actresses such as Aleksandra Konieczna. Her filmography includes critically acclaimed features—such as J.P. Matuszyński’s The Last Family, R. Gliński’s Piggies, and J. Lusiński’s Carte Blanche—as well as commercial projects like A. Ekis’s Swingers and the recently premiered series The Behaviorist, directed by Ł. Palkowski.


dr hab. Jan P. Matuszyński


Jan Paweł Matuszyński is an acclaimed Polish director of feature films and documentaries, as well as an academic lecturer. He is a directing graduate of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia (where he currently teaches and holds a Doctor of Arts degree) and completed a documentary course at the Wajda School.

Ewa Jastrzębska


A Polish film producer and production manager. She is a graduate of the Film and Television Production Organization Program at the National Film School in Łódź (PWSFTviT). Involved in film production for years, she has worked on many significant Polish feature films and television series. From 2008 to 2024, she served as the Director of Production at the Andrzej Munk Studio, which operates under the Polish Filmmakers Association. She is a member of the Polish Film Academy and a recipient of the Bronze Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis.

Her body of work includes collaborations on numerous film and television productions, including films such as Wesele, Psy 3. W imię zasad, Bo we mnie jest seks, and Znachor, as well as many projects focused on developing young filmmakers within the Munk Studio.


Paweł Gębicki


Psychologist and Mediator. A graduate of SWPS University in Warsaw (MA in Psychology) and postgraduate studies in psychological and negotiation competencies at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH). He has vast experience working with children, youth, and adults across support centers, educational institutions, NGOs, and the corporate sector. He runs a private practice, conducts psychological diagnostics, and works as a mediator and career advisor. Specialized in motivation for change and conflict support, he also develops HRTech and e-commerce startups. He is a member of Mensa and an enthusiast of electronics and Iaido.


Elżbieta Sobolewska


Talent Agent. Passionate about supporting actors on their professional journeys, she helps talent develop and make informed career decisions. Since 2004, she has co-managed the Gaża Actors Agency alongside Monika Stępień, representing distinguished artists working in Polish theater, film, and television. Her work is defined by trust, close relationships, and an individual approach, combining years of experience with a keen awareness of the artists' needs.


Marek Brodzki


Director and screenwriter of documentaries and feature films, as well as an assistant director who has collaborated with renowned filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg, Andrzej Wajda, Roman Polański, Volker Schlöndorff, Krzysztof Zanussi, and Costa-Gavras. He directed the TV series "Miasteczko" (TVN), as well as the feature film and series "The Witcher" (Wiedźmin). He also served as the creative producer for the series "Szpilki na Giewoncie." His international portfolio includes a long-standing collaboration with the German broadcaster ZDF, where he directed the dramatized segments for numerous documentaries. Notably, the film "The Drama of Dresden," produced with his creative contribution, was honored with an Emmy Award in 2005.

dr n. pr. Monika Nowicka-Jasińska


Doctor of Law, Psychologist, and Psychotherapist in Training. Specialized in medical law and psychology. As an experienced lecturer, she has taught courses on law for psychologists, professional ethics, interpersonal communication, and trauma at several universities. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Psychology at Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. A graduate of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) doctoral program, she also serves as the Head of Legal for a technology company, where she provides legal counsel and litigation representation. She conducts specialized training for psychologists and medical institutions.
